Overview
The third of the programs we're announcing this week is the Agent Initiative, and its center of gravity is the Agent Command System — the layer where work is defined once, delegated to a fleet of agents, and supervised to completion.
W0rktree answered how a thousand agents run. The Command System answers the harder question: how work gets to them — how a workflow, an automation, or an entire project becomes units a fleet can execute, verify, and be held accountable for.
From runtime to command
W0rktree, our open-source runtime, schedules and isolates agent fleets at the thousand-agent scale. The Command System sits above it: the place where a human states intent, sets budgets and boundaries, and reviews results — command in the operational sense, with the runtime doing the running.
The scheduling and delegation logic comes directly out of our multi-agent coordination research; the benchmarks we published are the ones this system is tuned against.
Workflows, automations, projects
The system covers three tiers of work. Recurring workflows — the weekly report, the dependency sweep — defined once and run on schedule. Automations — fleets that react to events: a failing build, an incoming lead, a flagged log line. And projects, the largest tier, where a fleet plans, builds, and verifies something end to end.
Verification is the through-line. Every unit of work carries its own acceptance checks, and unverified output doesn't merge, ship, or send. Command without verification is just delegation with extra steps.
Where it runs today
The Command System runs LegionEdge's own operations today — our release automation, our dataset validation runs, and part of our support triage are fleets under command.
External access arrives through our cloud platform, starting with the workflows tier. If you run W0rktree today, the Command System will speak to your existing fleets — that compatibility is a design constraint, not an afterthought.
